As tragic as this is, will the people suffering from the disaster actually be helped with pouring money into the coffers of the Junta tyrants?  What good is done in propping up a government of tyranny by sending aid (goods or cash) that will only further enable these animals to remain in power?  The UN and others by not ensuring the aid is going to those in need are only permitting the Junta to remain in power and the people of Burma to remain as they are.

Donor nations urged Burma to live up to its commitment to admit all
foreign relief workers and allow them to carry out an independent
assessment of the damage caused by Cyclone Nargis.

It’s been three weeks since the cyclone devastated the Irrawaddy
delta, the country’s main rice-growing region, but the United Nations
said Sunday that three-quarters of the neediest survivors have yet to
receive any help.
